Smart Temperature Controller User Manual
Thermostat Adjustment Guide
Follow these steps to properly set up your reptile thermostat
1. Temperature Probe
The metal probe on the temperature controller acts as the temperature sensor. The installation position of the probe determines the monitored temperature. Standard installation: Place the probe directly below the heating lamp, 5 cm above the bottom of the tank, and fix it to the side wall with tape or other fixing materials.
This controller manages heating equipment with a fixed hysteresis difference of 3℃ by default, cycling as follows:
· When the temperature rises to the set stop temperature → cut off power
to the heating lamp
· When the temperature drops by 3℃ (hysteresis value) → reactivate heating
power
· Repeat the cycle continuously
Notes on Hysteresis Adjustment
·Hysteresis > 3℃: Reptiles may suffer from cold stress
·Hysteresis < 3℃:
Frequent startup/shutdown will drastically shorten the service life of heating lamps The default 3℃ setting is recommended; do not modify it unnecessarily.
2.Set Target Heating Temperature
Under
normal PV display page, short press the ⚙ Setting Button to enter SV
temperature setting mode.
Press + / - to adjust target temperature: short press for single unit change, long press for fast value adjustment.
Leave the panel idle for 7 seconds; the system will auto-save settings and return to the normal PV page.
When tank temperature reaches the set SV value, the heating lamp will shut off automatically.
3. Hysteresis Difference Setting (F01 Parameter)
Long press ⚙ Setting Button for 3 seconds to enter parameter menu, screen shows F01.
1. Short press ⚙ once more to enter hysteresis adjustment page (factory default: 3.0℃).
2. Use + / - to modify the hysteresis value if needed.
3. Wait 7 seconds for auto-save and return to main page. Recommendation:
Keep factory default 3.0℃, do not adjust without special needs.
Function logic: The heating lamp
will turn on again when the tank temperature drops by the set hysteresis value below SV temperature.
4.Temperature Calibration (F02 Parameter)
· Long press ⚙ Setting Button for 3s to enter F01 page, press ⚙ again to
switch to F02 calibration menu.
· Short press ⚙ once more to enter calibration value page (factory
default: 0.0).
· Adjust with + / -: Increase
value if the measured temp is lower than actual, decrease value if higher.
· Idle 7 seconds to save and exit automatically. Only adjust
calibration if there is obvious temperature reading deviation; default 0.0 is
normal.
5. Working Mode Switch (F03 Parameter)
· Long press ⚙ Setting Button for 3s to enter F01, press ⚙ repeatedly to
switch to F03 mode menu.
· Short press ⚙ again to enter mode selection page:
1 .(Sunicon): Heating Mode (Factory default, for reptile heating lamps)
2. (Snowflake icon): Cooling Mode (For cooling equipment, NOT recommended for this
product)
· Toggle modes with + / -, wait 7 seconds to auto-save. Do NOT switch to cooling mode unless you use cooling devices; incorrect mode will cause abnormal temperature control.
6. Factory Reset
Simultaneously press the + and - buttons and hold until the screen displays FFF. All parameters will restore to factory default after reset.
Troubleshooting Tip
If the OUT indicator light is off and the heating lamp does not work: Check
whether the lamp is installed correctly in the designated lamp socket.
