DUAL-ZONE ALL-IN-ONE REPTILE ENCLOSURE
This 40-inch enclosure features a built-in dual-zone thermostat to create a natural thermal gradient. It has concealed wiring for safety and convection ventilation to balance temperature and humidity. No extra thermostat is needed for fast, clean setup.
Light fixtures and guards are not included. Required bulb type and wattage differ depending on what reptile you keep. You’ll need to buy them separately to match your pet’s requirements.
Choose bulbs based on your reptile type, tank size and room temperature.
• UVB: For daytime reptiles like geckos; snakes normally don’t need it.
• Halogen basking bulb: Daytime heat & UVA for basking.
• Ceramic heat emitter: No light, good for night heating for snakes.
Use a thermostat for safety. Bulbs and guards are sold separately. Measure substrate temperature, not bulb temperature.
The correct wattage depends on your enclosure model, room ambient temperature and reptile species. The key rule is to reach your target basking / ambient temperature, rather than picking an overly high wattage.
If room temperature stays 70–75℉:
- YRT-80D: 35–50W halogen basking bulb for daytime; 50–60W ceramic heat emitter for night
- YRT-120D: 50–75W halogen basking bulb for daytime; 60–80W ceramic heat emitter for night
If room temperature is cooler at 65–70℉:
- YRT-80D: 50–75W halogen; 60–80W ceramic heat emitter
- YRT-120D:75–100W halogen; 80–100W ceramic heat emitter
Important notes:
① Always use a thermostat to avoid overheating and burns. High-wattage bulbs get extremely hot. A heat guard is strongly recommended for climbing snakes and lizards.
② T5 HO UVB tubes are selected by tank length, not heating wattage.
③ Measure the substrate temperature where your reptile rests, not the bulb surface temperature.
This smart thermostat displays temperature only in degrees Celsius; it cannot be switched to degrees Fahrenheit. Please keep this in mind when using it.
